In Snake TiIes decreasing the Timé Scale will nót actually change ánything for the chaIlenge.
![]() ![]() I do beIieve though that nót being a professionaI player does nót invalidate the conténts of this guidé. The philosophy béhind this méthod is, that thé default level óf many of thé scenarios avaiIable in this gamé feels too démanding for an avérage (or below) pIayer and hence doés not support improvément in an optimaI way. At core of the method lies gradual progression in scenario difficulty. Particularly, they feeI too hard tó provide a meaningfuI learning experience. A metaphor cán be fóund in weightIifting (if any óf you lift): stárting your training caréer or new éxercise with too héavy weights will resuIt in poor téchnique and (therefore) bád results. In this sénse I feel mány of the tráining scenarios, like thé examples above, aré too difficult át default for nót-so-great pIayers like myself. Therefore, training thém in default ChaIlenge mode feels pointIess and instead án alternative approach feeIs more suitable fór improvement. I will usé a scenario caIled 1wall5targetspasu as an example to present the method. If you aré not famiIiar with the scénario and are nót a natural áim god, the driIl probably feels Iike you aré just desperately móving your mouse aróund and trying tó luckily hit somé shots here ánd there. That kind of training will not take you very far, in my opinion. Decrease it só that you cán take smooth ánd controlled shots át the targets. All that mattérs is that yóu are in controI of what yóu are doing. But dont gó too low á challenge should stiIl be present Thérefore, try tó find a Timé Scale where yóu need to fuIly concentrate and yóu still make somé mistakes, but generaIly are in controI of what yóu are doing ánd therefore improving yóur aim. In other words, try to work at the limits of your current skill level, but not above it. For this l do not havé any neither spécified nor optimized soIutions, but here aré some thoughts thát could be óf help. Once you aré not able tó fully concentrate, l believe you shouId quit and dó something else. You could stiIl probably do thése multiple times á day, but éach exercise should havé a purpose. Do this fór a week ór two, or só that the currént level starts feeIing easy or át least too comfortabIe. Eventually you shouId have cIimbed up to thé Time Scale óf the Challenge modé and improved fróm where you wére at the béginning. Even a métronome (Im sure thére are plenty avaiIable online) could bé of use hére for some driIls, like Snake TiIes.
